Dozens of Colombian soldiers reportedly held against their will by villagers in an area of the Amazon known for its extensive drug crops were released Thursday, the country’s Ombudsman’s office said. Government forces continue to clash with armed groups who rejected a 2016 peace deal between Bogota and the FARC guerrilla organisation.
