Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks are engaged!
Brooks, 29, announced the couple’s happy news on Friday on Instagram, sharing several photos that highlighted her sparkly new accessory.
The carousel’s first photo featured the pair in an artful black-and-white shot, with the model embracing a smiling Hemsworth, 35, from the back with her arms wrapped around her husband-to-be’s chest and flashing her ring.
The second image was a serene shot of the ocean with the sun in the sky, and the third photo was a close-up shot of Brooks’ hand resting on a white sheet, focused entirely on her dazzling diamond ring. She captioned the post with a simple white heart emoji.
Hemsworth and Brooks first sparked rumors of a romance when they were spotted together in December 2019 at brunch with the actor’s parents, Craig and Leonie, in Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia. They went public with their romance the next month, when they were were seen exchanging a kiss during a beach day in Byron Bay.
The couple went Instagram official in June 2021, when the Witcher actor shared a snapshot of him and Brooks with his brother Chris Hemsworth, Chris’ wife Elsa Pataky, and Matt Damon’s wife Luciana Barroso, at the Gold Dinner 2021 in Sydney.

While Hemsworth and Brooks have kept their romance fairly private since going public, the two have sprinkled tidbits about their relationship here and there. In an interview with Stellar Magazine published in December 2021, Brooks revealed that she and Hemsworth returned to Los Angeles after two years in their native Australia.
The model also opened up about why she keeps her personal life private. “My personal relationship is very, very important and very sacred to me,” Brooks said, according to the Daily Mail. “And I feel like in an industry where so much is put out on show, there are some things you just want to keep to yourself.”
“I completely understand [the interest]. But at the end of the day, I guess I just like having that for me,” she added. “But he’s great. [The Hemsworths] are great. They are the most beautiful people and I’m very lucky to know them.”
This will be Hemsworth’s second marriage. The Hunger Games alum was previously married to Grammy winner Miley Cyrus.
Cyrus and Hemsworth met on the set of Nicholas Sparks’ romantic drama The Last Song in 2009. They dated on and off for years before he proposed in 2012. The two ended their engagement and broke up a year later before reconciling in 2015.Â
They eventually married in December 2018, just a month after their Malibu, Calif., home burned down in the devastating California wildfires. Their union lasted less than a year and, after nearly a decade together and eight months of marriage, they ended their relationship for good in August 2019.

Shortly after news broke of their divorce, Cyrus addressed rumors of infidelity in a lengthy thread posted to X.
“I can accept that the life I’ve chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100% of the time,” the singer’s first post began. “What I cannot accept is being told I’m lying to cover up a crime I haven’t committed. I have nothing to hide.”
The “crime” would be cheating on Hemsworth; on the same day news broke of their split, Cyrus made headlines when she was spotted kissing Kaitlynn Carter, Brody Jenner’s ex, in Italy.

“The truth is, once Liam & I reconciled, I meant it, & I was committed,” she wrote. “I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will.”
Calling the breakup “a healthy decision for myself,” Cyrus told her critics, “You can say I am a twerking, pot smoking, foul mouthed hillbilly but I am not a liar.”
The two finalized their divorce in February 2020.
