Florida football head coach Billy Napier, who is squarely on the hot seat, was booed at home on Saturday even after the Gators defeated Mississippi State 23-21.
After the game, Napier was asked about the crowd reaction as well as his future.
Napier signed a seven-year, $51.8 million deal with Florida in 2021 after excelling for four seasons with Louisiana (40-12 record). However, it hasn’t worked out with the Gators, as they’ve gone just 22-23 in Napier’s three-plus seasons. This year’s team is 3-4 overall with a 2-2 SEC record.
