Mindy Kaling‘s upcoming Hulu comedy series “Not Suitable for Work” has found its five series leads.
Variety has learned that Ella Hunt (“Saturday Night,” “Dickinson”), Avantika (“Mean Girls,” “The Sex Lives of College Girls”), Will Angus (upcoming “Artificial,” “The Real Bros of Simi Valley: High School Reunion”), Jack Martin (“La Brea,” “The Rookie”), and Nicholas Duvernay (“The White Lotus,” “Bel Air”) have all joined the show, was picked up at Hulu back in Februrary. All five have been cast as series regulars.
The official logline for the series states that it “centers around five work-obsessed twenty-somethings striving for professional success and, if they have time, personal happiness in Manhattan’s most glamorous neighborhood, Murray Hill.
Hunt will play AJ Pascarelli, who is described as “a charming but intense first-year analyst at the most prestigious investment bank in New York.” Avantika will play Abhinaya “Abby” Chilukuri, who is said to be “a fashion-obsessed, savvy assistant to a demanding celebrity stylist.”
Angus will play Davis Beau Bradley Barrett III, “a high-energy finance bro, but underneath his fratty exterior, Davis just wants to love and be loved.” Martin will play Josh Teitelbaum, described as “a smart, idealistic, and occasionally sanctimonious New Yorker (born and raised, he’s the first to tell you).” Duvernay will play Kel Washington, “a charming, slightly anxious medical student struggling to ace his exams while plotting his big break as an actor.”

Kaling created “Not Suitable for Work” and executive produces with showrunner Charlie Grandy. 3 Arts Entertainment’s Howard Klein also executive produces. The series is produced by Kaling International in association with Warner Bros. Television, where both Kaling and Grandy are under overall deals.
