Olivia Rodrigo is making it clear that she is not happy with the Trump administration (and his Department of Homeland Security) using her music to promote their policies. On Friday, the pop singer slammed the White House and DHS for posting a video about self-deportation using one of her songs. A video posted to Instagram on Tuesday opened with the chaotic, rock part of her Guts favorite “All-American Bitch” showing clips of ICE agents detaining undocumented immigrants with the caption “If ICE finds you,” and then undocumented immigrants seemingly choosing to self-deport with the softer, more peaceful part of the…

If in doubt, we used to talk about the weather. Or if not that, then why the trains were late again, or how sweet someone’s baby was: the kind of routine bland nothings you exchange with strangers on the street. But something about the way we speak in public is changing.A few days ago I was in Aldi, making the usual small talk at the checkout. When the cashier said she was exhausted from working extra shifts to make some money for Christmas, the man behind me chipped in that it would be worse once “she takes all our money”…

Not all business-class seats are created equal. Some have sliding doors, others have privacy panels. On some planes, you may have to step over a neighbor to reach the aisle. Even planes from the same airline can have differing configurations. Some flights serve caviar and pricey Champagne while others rely on a more basic no-frills approach. With so much variety in the market, how do you know which flights are worth the hefty price tag?Business-class tickets (like all other seats on the plane) carry a price tag based on market demand, which means the cost can vary widely by airline,…
