Debby Ryan’s years as a nanny are about to pay off.
The Disney Channel alum known for roles on Jessie, The Suite Life on Deck, and Radio Rebel has announced that she is expecting her first child with husband Josh Dun.
In a joint Instagram post, the actress, 32, and Twenty One Pilots drummer, 37, shared the news with a late-night photo dump showing off pics of Ryan’s baby bump. The carousel also included a sonogram picture, a custom cartoon of them drawn by visual artist duo DabsMyla, and a photo of the couple cuddling, while Dun cradles his wife’s baby bump and shows off a pair of checkered, baby-size Vans.
“Dun&dun +one,” they captioned the Saturday post. The news was met with excitement from friends and fans alike.
“AHHHH IS IT MINE????,” joked the couple’s friend, Sarah Hyland. “Just joshin ya @joshuadun.”
Meanwhile, her fellow Modern Family alum Adam DeVine wrote, “Hooray! Congrats you too!!! Can’t wait to meet the lil one!”
The couple also got some love from former Disney star Hayley Kiyoko, who commented, “so happy for you guys!!!”
Ryan and Dun have been romantically linked since 2013 and dated for two years before calling it quits. They rekindled their relationship in 2016 and secretly tied the knot on New Year’s Eve in 2019. Eagle-eyed fans soon noticed Dun wearing a wedding band in a Twenty One Pilots music video, and the couple eventually opened up about their big day in an interview with Vogue, confirming their nuptials and revealing that they planned the whole affair in just 28 days.
“We began to flirt with the idea of having a destination party celebrating the new decade, then decided in December to get married on New Year’s Eve, and just keep dancing until after the ball dropped,” Ryan told the outlet in 2020. “The time just felt right.”
The Insatiable actress added that the wedding came on the heels of losing a close friend, with the sudden loss prompting the couple not to waste any time together.

“When he passed, it really rocked me and put a lot of things in perspective,” Ryan explained. “It didn’t feel important to wait anymore, to stop being busy, or for things to line up perfectly—intending to do things is not nearly as powerful as doing, as we aren’t promised tomorrow.”

Two years later, Dun got candid about married life with Ryan, telling Kenny Sipes that their friendship remains the best part of their relationship.
“I always tried to envision what marriage would look like from when I was a kid, and it never really looked quite like this,” he said. “When I was young, I felt like my parents were just so grown up. Debby and I are just kids. We live in an adult house and decorate it like kids and do kid stuff in it.”
Dun continued, “We couldn’t sleep the other night so we just hung out in the kitchen and jumped around and ate snacks. I bet my parents did that stuff too probably but I never saw it and never knew this is what marriage could be like.”
