Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens was left baffled after Sunday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers ended in a 40-40 tie.
Pickens told Jane Slater of NFL Network after the game that he was expecting a second overtime period to start because he didn’t know NFL games could end in a tie.
“I’ve never been a part of a tie in my life. I didn’t even know football worked like that,” Pickens said. “I thought we just would start another quarter right now and keep going. But a tie? That’s a first time, yeah.”
