New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart led Big Blue to a 21-18 home win over the Los Angeles Chargers in his first-ever NFL start on Sunday.
After the game, Dart made sure to compliment veteran signal-caller Russell Wilson, who was benched for the rookie after three games, for being a professional after the move went down.
New York started the season 0-3, with Wilson notably struggling in Weeks 1 and 3, combining for just 328 passing yards and two interceptions in a 21-6 loss to the Washington Commanders and a 22-9 defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs. He did throw for 450 yards and three touchdowns in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys, who ended up victorious 40-37 in overtime.
Two days after the Chiefs loss, the Giants made Dart QB1. He completed 13-of-20 passes for 111 yards and one touchdown while rushing for 54 yards and another score on 10 carries.
