Versant‘s USA Sports and the Pac-12 Conference struck a five-year rights pact that will put regular-season football and men’s and women’s basketball on USA Network.
The deal, which will start in the 2026-2027 season will run through 2030-31 and put more than 80 Pac-12 games on USA, including 22 regular season football games; 50 regular-season men’s basketball match-ups; and five to ten regular-season women’s basketball games. Pac-12 Enterprises, the broadcast production arm of the conference, will produce all games on USA Network in partnership with USA Sports.
“USA Sports is proud to partner with the new Pac-12 and showcase the league to a national audience on USA Network,” said Matt Hong, president of USA Sports, in a statement. “Our partnership further establishes USA Network as a destination for all sports fans, with weekends packed with Pac-12 football doubleheaders and men’s and women’s basketball double- and triple-headers beginning next fall.”
Versant unveiled USA Sports earlier this week as a new stand-alone sports media unit that will use USA and Golf Network to present a wide selection of matches including WNBA, WWE and NASCAR.
“We are thrilled to launch this partnership with the USA Sports team and leverage our shared vision to build something unique and special,” said said Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould, in a statement.
Pac-12 is in the midst of a wholesale realignment after many of its previous members, including USC and UCLA, moved to other conferences. The group’s remaining two schools, Oregon State and Washington State are working to build a new entity that features Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, San Diego State, Texas State and Utah State.
